Hello, all my readers!
I wanted to thank you for your support, first of all... it means a lot to me that you all are following my adventure! :) I also value your feedback, so here goes!
Can you mention a lesson/lessons you had in school - a project, some sort of worksheet, video, etc - that really worked and helped you learn something? I'd prefer if it was for an English (or Latin) class, but I'm open to whatever subject. I'm going to need a lot of ideas for lesson plans, so it doesn't hurt to ask students (past or present)!
You can leave a comment in the comment box - say what subject the class was, what you were learning for that lesson, and then what you did in that class or for that assignment that really clicked for you. I appreciate it :)

You've already seen 1 or 2 of mine off TG, but I've remembered some more.
ReplyDeleteFrench:
We used to play bingo. My French teacher would give us a list of French terms. We'd have about 16 spaces to have these French terms. She'd call out the English equivilant. Bingo was only official if terms were correct. Candy was often rewarded.

My teacher would tape cards onto the board face down. We'd have to go up and randomly grab one. It would then have a set of directions on it to speak in French. For instance "A friend is visiting from Spain. Explain where the bathrooms and bedrooms are and where/what you'll be having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner." or something like that. Students would pick next victim.

From time to time, when our teacher would need to catch up on stuff she'd have us watch a familiar movie--in French. We watched "Aladdin" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". We were actually going to watch "Finding Nemo" but that was cancelled by the quickly approaching finals. -.-
If I remember more, I shall be back!
